The teams had said early before the match that it’s going to be like regular one-day internationals, but not the practice for the Twenty20s coming soon.

Exceptional with the bat and ball alike, the hosts had a fantastic win, much of which can be credited to Dwayne Bravo who scored 87 crucial runs for leading the team to a target of 269 runs.

BA Stokes played his part well too as he scored 61 important runs from 52 balls to set the pressure on England.

The win holds much relevance to West Indies as they missed many of the crucial players like Gayle, Samuels, and Roach. For England, James Tredwell did quite well for his part, but the team has to work on the middle order and pace bowling, as both aspects remained the reason to worry.

MJ Lumb played the crucial opening knock of 106 with MM Ali who scored 44, but the loss of  middle order wickets including LJ Wright and BA Stokes took away the match from the team.

The only silver lining for England in the first match is their stable play for the first 20 overs of both innings, which might pave way for the coming Twenty20s.

Dwayne Bravo won the Man of the Match as the supporters cheered the team for the fantastic win. The next match is scheduled on 2nd March 2014 at the same venue.
